This one took me by sruprise! I was not expecting to fall in love with the plot of this story as much as I did, and that’s the honest truth.
When I read Jennifer E. Smith’s other novel, Windfall, it had been another one that swept me off my feet and made me fall in love. Another one that I was really surprised to say that I loved. I’m not sure why I keep underestimating Jennifer E Smith, but apparently I do. I suppose that’s something I should change.
Now, what exactly was it that had me gushing over this book? It was the characters, the plot, and the love. That teenage love that’s so pure, and so strong that you want it to work. They don’t have the adult dramas, and their biggest fear is going off to college and having to part with their boyfriend/girlfriend and friends.
The characters are just too cute, I loved them all. This book was like a little roadtrip, and we got to hop around all the places where the main two lovebirds had their favourite moments. We were able to see the highlights of their lovelife in the span of a single night; and it was incredible.
I don’t know much more to say beyond this: It’s adorable. Read it.
