Egyptian Mythology Book Tag (Tiggity Tag Friday)

Welcome to Tiggity Tag Friday! The place to be when you want to be a little bit of a snoop (don’t worry, we all do it!). Fridays are the days I give credit where it’s due and throw away the rest of the stupid rules. You feel me? — Well don’t, it’s rude to grope someone.

Let’s get into it!

Thank you to the creator of this fabulous tag, Kyera’s Library! And a big thank you to Reading with Rendz, who I so graciously stole this from. Ya welcome!

THE TAG!

AMUN-RA – CHARACTER WHO ENTHUSIASTICALLY INVOLVES THEMSELVES IN EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS

Jordan! From the Akarnae series. The little snoop is so cute but is always so eager to hear about everyone and help everyone and just be a little snooparoonie. Did I mention that he’s cute though?

OSIRIS – FAVOURITE DOWN-TO-EARTH MALE CHARACTER

Jules Addison. ANOTHER cutie. If you haven’t read the Unearthed duology by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner then I demand that you get right on that! They’re so good and Jules is my everything. He’s so adorable and sweet!

ISIS – FAVOURITE FEMALE CHARACTER WITH POWERS

Rose Hathaway. I mean, she’s a vamp but she’s a kickass vamp that has no powers! I love her to bits, plus she has a pretty dreamy partner, dear Dimitri. *dreamy sigh* I need to read that series again. It’s Vampire Academy in case you haven’t read it yet. ANOTHER must read. Promise you won’t regret it!

SPOILERS!! ANUBIS – CHARACTER YOU WISH YOU COULD BRING BACK FROM THE DEAD

*SPOILERS!*

*SPOILERS!*

*SPOILERS!*

This is just a beginning bunch of chatter to prevent you from being spoiled. If you have NOT finished reading the Throne of Glass series, I suggest you keep scrolling now. I’m going to chuck in a little bit more text, just to make sure you’re properly not going to see it. I’ll eventually throw it in, just at random because I don’t want you to see it if you don’t know because it’s a really bit travesty. Thirteen. I’m not going to bring back one person, but a few people. I will break the rules like that. If I can’t bring them all back, then there’s the 2nd that I’d really like to bring back out of that group.

I hope you made sense of that!

If you haven’t read the books, I hope you didn’t make sense of that! — DON’T YOU DARE GO BACK AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT. Are you crazy?!

SET – A CHARACTER THAT IS MORE DEVIOUS THAN THE ACTUAL VILLAIN

Kaz feckin’ Brekker from Six of Crows. That little weasel sure knows how to make a scene and deceive the world. I suppose it is his job… but still!

HATHOR – QUOTE THAT BRIGHTENS YOUR DAY

I always mention this quote, mostly because it’s my favourite quote. (It’s also the only quote I properly remember).

“Just because you call an electric eel a rubber duck doesn’t make it a rubber duck, does it? And God help the poor bastard who decides they want to take a bath with the duckie.”

Cassandra Clare, City of Bones

NEITH – CHARACTER YOU WISH YOU COULD RECEIVE LIFE ADVICE FROM

Uhhhhm… The Library in the Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni. He seems to be a pretty smart fella.

MA’AT – INJUSTICE YOU WISH YOU COULD RECTIFY

Refer back to my spoiler-y answer. Unless you haven’t read Throne of Glass, in which, nevermind.

HORUS – FAVOURITE BRIGHT/CHEERY BOOK COVER

I recently spotted the limited edition rose gold A Gathering of Shadows by V.E Schwab and OH MY GOD.

THOTH – BOOK WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PROSE

Anything V.E Schwab writes is absolutely incredible. She blows me away.

PTAH – BEST WORLD BUILDING

Sarah J Maas writes the best worlds! It’s facts.

KHONSU – BOOK YOU WISH YOU COULD READ FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It’s a magical story.

SOBEK – BOOK YOU WOULD SAVE FROM DROWNING (POSSIBLY OVER ANOTHER PERSON, NO JUDGEMENT)

The Priestess of the White by Trudi Canavan. My brother got it for me and it means the world to me that he picked a book out for me. You have to know him to understand. I cherish it, I really do.
