Drunk Book Tag (Tiggity Tag Friday)

Today we’re doing the Drunk book tag! WOOOOO! This tag was co-created by lovely Booktubers, Chelsea at ChelseaDolling Reads  and Julie at Pages and Pens.

The inspiration for this tag? I ran out of wine and this is the only way I know how to secretly embrace the lack of alcohol in my life at the moment.

QUESTIONS!

 1. Wine Coolers: You’re 16 and you finally managed to sneak one of your mom’s Smirnoff Ices. What is one of your most guilty pleasure reads?

I don’t have any guilty pleasures, I openly read anything!

 2. Beer: You’ve made it to college and are hosting your first kegger! Pick your favorite new adult or college aged book.

Anything by Sarah J Maas for this one!
(I think I need to ban myself from giving SJM as an answer.)

3. Tequila: You partied too hard last night and drank a liiittle too much. What’s a book that you never want to see again (or, your least favorite book)?

My regretful read is probably going to be Sandy Hall’s, A Little Something Different. I just… I can’t. It’s the only book I’ve ever read that I openly distaste.

4. Beer Bong: What’s a book that you read super fast?

I Have Lost My Way by Gayle Forman. I picked this book up with every intention of taking my time and severely failed. I read this in the matter of two hours and loved every moment of it.

5. SPRING BREAK!!!!: You’ve thrown your inhibitions to the wind and end up having a sexy night you’ll never forget. What is your favourite smutty read?

Everyone seems to want to hide away from this question, as if reading about sex is such a scandalous thing. It’s natural, get over it.
I’m going to have to give this title to A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. It never used to be the case, because SJM never used to write smutty scenes but things have changed!

6. Screwdriver: What’s the most twisted book you’ve ever read?

Twisted like, psychotic? Or twisted like, just weird? For psychotic, probably Gone Girl by Gilligan Flynn (don’t worry, I plan to read Stephen King by the end of the year as well, so this answer will probably be very different haha.
For weird, I’d pick A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.

7. Long Island Ice Tea: The melting pot of alcoholic beverages. What is one of your favorite diverse reads?

After staring at this question for a too long of a time, I realise that I need to read more diverse books. So instead, I’m going to answer this question with three diverse books that I intend to have read before this year is up.

  1. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
  2. The Very Large Expanse of the Sea by Tahereh Mafi
  3. More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

8. Sex on the Beach: A drink that’s great in theory, but wasn’t exactly all it was cracked up to be. What is a book that just didn’t live up to the hype?

I’ve had this question a few times in the previous tags I’ve done and I keep answering with Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, but I’m going to change my answer for this one. I’m currently reading Cassandra Clare’s, A City of Lost Souls and I’m not the biggest fan. I love Cassandra Clare, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t think this series needed to be the length it is. Yet again, I haven’t finished to series, so I suppose we shall see if I still think that by the end.

 9. Wine: You’ve just gone through a rough break-up, so you park yourself in bed with your favorite bottle of wine, some ice-cream, and a bucket for your tears. Name a book that made you cry out all of your feels.

Okay, I don’t know if I was the only one that seemed to have a freaking breakdown when reading this book, but Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell strangled my heart until there were no tears left.

10. Strip Club! Your favorite naked hardback.

Oh! Easy! I have to pick the Hardback editions of Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth. Naked, they are simply stunning! 😍 There’s a map engraved into the cover! What’s not to love about that?!
