Welcome back to Tiggity Tag Friday! Where I pick a book tag, give credit where it’s due and ignore the rest of the rules! If you feel like participating in this tag, you’re officially tagged 😜 You should definitely link me to where you’ve done this tag or any other tag! Feel free to even play along in the comments!
Photos of the books will be attached to each of the questions, and I will link all of the mentioned books back to Goodreads if something peaks your interest.
The book tag I’ve chosen this week is the ‘The Reader Problems’ created by abouttoread. So definitely go check her out!
You have 20,000 books in your TBR, how in the world do you decide what to read next?
As big of a problem as this one is, I usually just follow my gut. Especially if I’ve read a book by an author and loved it, it’s a good way for another one of their books to shoot higher up the TBR stack.
You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?
It depends on how much I’m not enjoying it. If I can’t focus on it? Then I’ll put it down and start something else, but otherwise I’ll just keep going.
The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge, do you try to catch up? And if so, how?
Of course I try to catch up! I’m in this predicament at the moment actually! I have four more books to read before the end of the year is up. I have two methods to beat this madness, the first is to find the shorter books on my shelf that I want to read and the other method is to sit down and have a good ol’ fashion Readathon!
The covers of a series you love do not match, how do you cope?
I’ll probably buy other covers to make it perfect! Haha, it’s essential that the shelf look good!
Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?
I just cop it on the chin and move on. Sometimes I’ll even browse the low star ratings on Goodreads!
You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?
I’ll probably put the book down for a moment or two. The idea of weeping in public just gives me anxiety.
The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?
I probably won’t reread it, I might do a search for the plot or even a spoiler review in hopes to refresh my memory but otherwise I just read and try to coax my memory back.
You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks?
I just politely say, ‘no, sorry’. And if they ask why, I usually say; ‘A lot of my books have been damaged in the past and I can’t buy a new book every time one’s damaged, so I don’t trust anyone with them. It’s not just you, it’s everyone.’
You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?
Keep trying! Maybe reread an old fave!
There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read, how many do you end up buying?
Too many. My bank account hates me.
After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read how long do they sit on your shelves before you get to them?
It depends, but usually? A while. 😂
